About Us
The Alaska Chapter of the American Institute of Architects is a design organization, representing over 200 Architects in Alaska since 1961. AIA Alaska’s mission has been to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of the public, and to improve the state’s quality of life through design.
As an Accredited Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, AIA Alaska serves Architects, Interns, and Allied Members throughout the state. By advancing our shared values of Community, Knowledge and Advocacy, AIA members strive to make the world a better place for everyone to live, work and play.
Our members are committed to full compliance with all laws and regulations, and to maintaining the highest ethical standards in the way we conduct our operations and activities. Our commitment includes strict compliance with federal and state antitrust laws, which are designed to protect this country’s free competitive economy.
AIA Alaska is also committed to broadening equity, diversity, and inclusion to create a stronger profession.
AIA Depends Upon Volunteer Support
Volunteers do outreach, raise funds, and provide mentorship to our emerging professionals in Alaska.
As a volunteer, you will have opportunities to learn more about the design community. We are always looking for new volunteers to help us advance our mission.
AIA Alaska seeks enthusiastic industry professionals with a talent for management and oversight.
Board positions are January to December each year with vacancies identified in our newsletters and membership emails as vacant positions open up. If you would like more information on the roles and responsibilities of board or committee commitments, please CONTACT US.
We look forward to working with you!
